Mega-T iPLEX 6000 Access-T45
Mega-T
Multiple T1 Inverse Multiplexer
- Economical
access to greater-than-T1 bandwidth for high-speed
applications
- Direct
connection to V.35- and HSSI-compatible equipment
- Complete
visibility of T1 and DTE channel performance
- Rapid
trouble notification, isolation, and recovery
- Integral
SNMP agent
- 125
milliseconds differential delay
- Adaptability
to changing standards and services, including
downloadable software
The
Mega-T Multiple T1 Inverse Multiplexer bridges
the gap between T1 and T3. Inverse-multiplexing
up to four T1 lines, Mega-T creates a single logical
data channel which is the sum of the T1 bandwidths.
On
the DTE side, Mega-T provides an EIA530 (V.35/RS449)
or HSSI port operating at data rates up to 6.112
Mbps. On the network side, T1 interfaces support
all standard framing and coding formats, and include
optional built-in CSUs.
Mega-T
includes advanced monitoring and alarm functions
to help you maintain your critical communication
channels. And built-in diagnostics ensure that
you can isolate problems quickly and accurately.
To
help you adapt to changing standards and service
offerings, Mega-T lets you download software upgrades
from a standard PC . . . without hardware replacement
or downtime.
Typical
Mega-T Application Mega-T employs inverse
multiplexing to create a high-speed data channel.
Here, Mega-T uses four T1 lines to create a 6.112
Mbps channel for a LAN internetworking application.
iPLEX
6000 Larscom brings new intelligence and scalability to the
demarcation point of high-speed
frame and Internet access services.
Designed for the network service provider,
Larscom's iPLEX 6000 is the
ideal end point for a wide range of high-speed services. The iPLEX 6000 turns a
broadband pipe into a service
delivery system, letting the service
provider achieve the lowest Total Cost of Operation
(TCO) in its current and future
high-speed Frame Relay,ATM,
and IP service offerings.
Applications:
Multilink Frame Relay, in T1/E1 multiples up to 16 Mbps High Speed
Internet Access
IP Virtual Private Networks
(IP-VPN)
Integrated Voice/Data
SLA Verification
Defining
the Intelligent Demarc
Service providers can significantly lower their
TCO by deploying the iPLEX 6000 at the customer
premise. iPLEX 6000's auto-configuration, bandwidth
management, and traffic shaping simplify installation
and maintenance. Compliance with the Frame Relay
Forum's Multilink Frame Relay standard eliminates
the need for additional equipment between the CP
and CO. And SLA statistics gathered by iPLEX 6000
are delivered in a standard format directly to the
carrier's core management system.
Access-T45 links one or two high-speed
applications across a T3 line, the Access-T45
serves a wide range of broadband applications.
It plays a major role in Internet backbones and
in scalable fractional T3 Internet access services.
It is also the choice of a growing number of corporations
and public organizations needing the 45 Mbps bandwidth
of T3 for WAN connections. "Larscom has a large
installed customer base and, according to a recent
Dataquest survey, shipped the largest number of
two-port DS3 DSUs in 1996," said Paul Strudwick,
Larscom VP of Marketing. "Together, Cisco and
Larscom provide a high-quality, standards-based
solution to users who are demanding dependability,
and manageability for their mission critical networks."
Access-T45
extends to its management options, which include
an integral SNMP agent,
plus menu-driven front-panel and terminal interfaces.
For the performance management today's networks
require, Access-T45 gives you a detailed 24-hour
performance history, alarm dialout on conditions
you specify, and multiple loopback options and
PRBS testing for problem isolation.
Linking
one or two high-speed applications across a DS3
line, the Access-T45TM DS3 Network Service Unit
serves a wide range of broadband applications.
It plays a major role in Internet backbones and
in scalable fractional T3 Internet access services.
It is also the choice of a growing number of corporations
and public organizations needing the broad bandwidth
of DS3 for WAN connections.
Access-T45
splits the DS3 bandwidth between two high-speed
serial ports. Each port can be configured for
any multiple of 3.158 Mbps—and automatically reconfigured
for peak and non-peak hours. In single-port mode,
Access-T45 provides a fractional T3 network connection
which is remotely scalable from 3.158 to 44.2
Mbps.
