Asset Recovery Services
Asset Recovery Services (ARS) is a suite of services offered by Digital Warehouse that allows you to choose whether to recycle or resell your old or outdated networking equipment. Fast, affordable, and easy to use, ARS provides you with a safe and environmentally friendly method to recycle or dispose of your used networking equipment. This includes routers, switches, access servers, network storage products, security appliances, and IP Telephony products
Digital Warehouse offers you two solutions for disposing of your used Networking equipment:
Value Recovery - Recover value from used networking equipment. Value gained from the sale of the used equipment will be returned to you. (Note: The value of the equipment sold is "time bound"; i.e., the equipment to be sold in one month must be received at Digital Warehouse's Asset Recovery Facilities in that same month.)
Recycling - Recycle used equipment that has no resale value. (Note: In general, used networking equipment over three years old has little or no resale value.)
Both services include transportation, flexible logistics, equipment disposition, and detailed security and environmental reports.

What Logistics Services are available?
Integrated transportation and flexible logistics allow you to choose your exact level of recovery support. ARS offers two options for handling the packaging and transportation of your networking equipment.
Customer Pre-Packed
- Customer packs equipment
- Single location pickup
- No program management from Digital Warehouse
Pre-packed box logistics: For 1-9 systems. Digital Warehouse will send you a kit containing instructions and shipping air bills. After boxing your equipment you can schedule a pickup at www.fedex.com or by calling 1-800-GO-FEDEX.
Pre-packed pallet logistics: For 10 or more systems. Digital Warehouse's freight vendor will contact you 3 to 5 days after order placement to schedule a pickup. You are responsible for palletizing your equipment.

- Other special logistics on custom bid basis
What Reporting information is included?
Digital Warehouse addresses your data security and environmental recycling concerns through a detailed and accurate reporting process. You will be sent two reports upon completion of your equipment's resale or recycling.
Settlement Report - Specifically lists each piece of resold hardware's resale value and documents any recycled equipment.
Certificate of Disposal* - Verifies that configurations were overwritten with an automated script. Also verifies that any recycling was done in accordance with EPA guidelines.

By purchasing Asset Recovery Services, your old or used networking equipment is recycled or resold, which helps keep environmentally sensitive materials out of landfills, enables materials to be recycled or reused, and helps conserve natural resources.
*Note: No data removal process leaves a networking product as free from residual data as a new product. Digital Warehouse makes no recommendations regarding the customer's security needs or representations regarding the effectiveness of one method of data removal over another. It is the customer's responsibility to protect any confidential or sensitive information contained on its hard drives recovered by Digital Warehouse.
